Requirements
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Ink Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various ink systems and excellent troubleshooting skills to support consistent print quality and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, mix, and manage ink formulations for flexographic, offset, or digital printing operations.
Match inks to customer color standards using spectrophotometers or visual evaluation.
Troubleshoot print quality issues related to ink performance, substrate compatibility, or press conditions.
Maintain ink kitchen inventory, monitor shelf life, and ensure proper storage and handling of all ink materials.
Work closely with press operators and QA teams to ensure optimal color consistency and adhesion.
Implement corrective actions for ink-related defects such as smudging, mottling, bleeding, or drying issues.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards related to ink usage.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience working with water-based, solvent-based, UV, and/or oil-based inks.
Strong understanding of ink chemistry and behavior across various substrates (paper, board, film, etc.).
Solid troubleshooting skills in a high-speed printing or converting environment.
Familiarity with color matching tools (e.g. X-Rite) and print quality standards.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Self-motivated with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
