IT Support Specialist
The IT Support Specialist (Level 1.5) is an experienced IT support professional who bridges first-level and second-level support responsibilities.
The incumbent handles more complex or time-consuming issues that go beyond standard first-line fixes – serving as a critical escalation point from Level 1 analysts and a key support for the Level 2 engineers.
With 5–8 years of IT support experience, the Specialist possesses deeper technical expertise across operating systems, applications, and hardware, enabling the resolution of a wider range of issues (for example, persistent software errors, OS and driver issues, or hardware faults) with minimal further escalation.
This role emphasizes technical depth, ownership of incidents through to resolution, and consistency in delivering high-quality support.
The IT Support Specialist also contributes to process improvement by expanding the knowledge base and mentoring junior analysts to enhance the team’s overall capability.
